Nepali Congress today announced the result of 21 Central Working Committee members under various reservation quotas including Dalit, Madhesi, women and indigenous nationalities.
Of them, 12 belong to newly elected party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s panel and nine belong to the Ramchandra Paudel-led panel.
The Deuba panel is also leading in the 25-member open category. Fourteen of the leading candidates are from the Deuba panel as against 11 from Paudel’s panel. There are 90 candidates under this category.
The result of all reservation seats will come by tomorrow and results of the open category of 25 CWC members will come by Monday, according to NC’s secretary at the party headquarters Prakash Sharma. Although the counting of open category was done in only one group earlier, it was done in four groups today to expedite the counting process, according to him.
